Useless!!!

This app can be compared to the infamous bogus sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandelas funeral... It is a total disgrace and embarrassment to any proud South African! Passbook support my butt... It doesnt support passbook at all. You cannot set up a profile and have to manually type in all your details every time you want to check up on something or horror by horrors, try to check in for your flight on-line. Your boarding pass isnt saved to Passbook, you can have one emailed to you which you have to print out... Sort of defeats the object of having a mobile boarding pass doesnt it? If you actually want to display the mobile boarding pass on your iPhone at the boarding gate, you have to go trough the whole process of manually entering all your details, including flight booking reference number then click trough senseless menus and pages to finally get the pass to display on your screen if you are lucky enough to get it to load... By the time you get all that done youve already missed your flight! It boggles my mind that its actually in the App Store, it shouldnt be!!! SAA do us all a favor and get a proper company to redevelop an App for you as this one is beyond saving and doesnt belong on anyones phone!

Junk - doesnt work

Like others loaded and reloaded. Doesnt work just loads blank pages. What an embarrassment. Expect someone was paid millions to do this and ran off with the cash. Typical for the mismanagement at SAA. The one star rating is for the design of the image! Otherwise there are no negative stars to award!!

Not much to add!

This could be a very useful tool if performance were improved. Ill be looking forward to revised versions.

No Value

Believe it or not, you cannot book a flight with the app, so what use is it? I deleted it as soon as I downloaded it.

Gives a bad image to the country

Doesnt even work. Deleted it right after downloading it. Fire the incompetent department in charge of producing this app. Disgrace.

Complete waste of time.

A few changes would make it a lot better

Needs to: Remember user. Save upcoming flights to avoid repeated entering of booking number. Provide boarding passes in app without email. Provide Voyager account data and status. Provide a voyager card that actively changes with status in passbook. Allow search and booking of flights in app. Just take an example from Delta or BA! Changes are overdue!

IOS 7

App is in desperate need to be updated with ios 7 visuals and retina graphics. Take note of new BA app for reference of a great airline app.

Joke

Not even remotely ready for prime time. Reviewers have offered helpful suggestions to SAA to make the App more useful to the customer, but obviously no action yet from SAA. Sorry to say, but this is typical of SAA management oversight. Hey HQ, lead. Flight crew are great though, and FANTASTIC Florida staffers. Wow, now thats customer service. Too bad the SAA mgmt. touchpoints one encounters once in Joburg dont stack up

Probably the WORST airline App in the world

This is by far the worst airline App I have used to date. It is slow, functionality is limited and the graphics quality is horrible. The developer should be fired

Absolutely useless App, what were they thinking?

Not that great. Glorified website

Good info tabs but not there yet. On each tab you need to add new information. It should all be collated when you log in. Also I dont want to have to enter details everytime I use the app. It should cache these details and perhaps only ask for a password, or touchID. Just seems like a website embedded in an app. Simple advice, download some of the other airlines apps and see what they are doing. Youll get some good ideas from them.

Utterly useless

Cant be used to book a flight or view specials - why doesnt SAA "codeshare" with the flyMango app which is quite good

Completely utterly USELESS!!!!!

This app is a disgrace. It should be removed from the App Store entirely. Not a single page has any content. Another glorious example of SAAs staggering incompetence. Dont bother to download this at all.

Long way to go

If you have a booking, this app will let you check in, choose a seat and put your boarding pass in passbook. No other functionality. • all data (ID, frequent flyer etc) has to be re-entered every time you use the app. Completely unnecessary. • when flying out of Johannesburg, having an electronic boarding pass makes no difference. You still need to queue and get a printed pass. Needs a complete re-think to get it up to the level of the competition.

Absolute Rubbish!

I read through all the reviews before downloading the app and I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt but all that has been said is true! This app is absolute RUBBISH! The developer should be fired!

Broken

Doesnt go past the home screen on iPhone 6 or iPad Air.

Lost Passbook functionality???

App used to be adequate; never brilliant but at least allowed us to check in and get a boarding pass... Now even the Add to Passbook functionality has stopped working - please sort out asap!

Update needed.

This app is in definite need of an update and was last updated in 2013.

What a load of junk ....

How useless can an airline app actually be. Not much functionality apart from the bare minimum. Of which theres no guaranteed it will work anyway. Just tried to check in. The app will not accept Voyager number as a login. Unfortunately reflects the general service on offer from a state-run airline where no responsibility or accountability is required. SAA should be ashamed.
